Executive Committee
This Committee is responsible for overseeing the daily implementation of board policies and making sure the board is establishing and maintaining good governance practices. The Executive Committee will also oversee operations on behalf of the board during on-demand activities and present these acts thereafter for full board review.
The committee will advise and remind all board members to serve on at least one committee. Schedule: Committee meets monthly via conference call.
Programming Committee
This Committee will develop plans, budget and schedules for all HWA’s programs, forums, events and activities.

Development Committee:
This committee oversees the development and implementation of HWA’s (TBD) Fundraising plan which includes cultivation events, signature fundraisers, an annual appeal as well as identifies and solicits funds from external sources of support.

Communication Committee:
This Committee serves to oversee a consistent and active communication strategy to all stakeholders for the purposes of program messaging, fundraising, awareness and branding. This Committee will identify new potential media, advise on public relations strategy that focuses on proactive media relations with the goal of securing print and electronic media placement about the organization and provide input on press releases, messaging, talking points and identify key spokespersons for events, programs and forums.

Membership and Scholarship Committee:
The Membership Committee shall lead the Board’s membership activities which include the establishment of membership levels and activities. This Committee shall inform and educate board members about our membership needs.
